About Hackett Security

Hackett Security has been in the business of installing and monitoring security, fire alarm and video systems in the St. Louis area since 1977. Our home offices are located in the NCR Building on South Outer Forty Drive, near the corner of Clayton and Warson Roads, in Ladue.

Our business has grown steadily over the years by building on several essential principles: we are responsive to our customers’ needs, we are knowledgeable leaders in our industry, we are practical problem-solvers, and we are professional, courteous, ethical and discreet in all our business relations.

Not only do we install alarm systems, we also provide monitoring in our state-of-the-art, U.L. certified Central Station manned by trained professionals, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Security System Technician

Status: Full time; Benefits: Yes; Job Category: Security Alarm System Installer/Technician – Commercial & Residential; Salary/Wage: Commensurate with experience.

Position Scope: Must have experience with CCTV, Fire and Security intrusion, installation, trouble shooting and repair experience. Professional and clean personal appearance. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Positive attitude. Serious attention to customer’s requirements. Excellent communication/ customer service skills. Familiarity with NEC Standards and electrical codes. Able to complete daily reports/work orders. Able to prioritize tasks with good time management. Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds.

Requirements & Experience: The successful candidate must have experience with Ademco, Bosch, Notifier, Est, Firelite for fire alarm systems; Ademco, DSC, DMP for burglar systems and knowledge of most major CCTV systems. Sales Consultant

Status: Full time; Benefits: Yes; Job Category: Sales Consultant – Commercial & Residential; Salary/Wage: Commensurate with experience.

Position Scope: Prefer Direct Sales “Business to Business” and “Business to Consumer” of burglar, fire, video and access systems.

Requirements & Experience: The most successful out-of-the-gate candidate would be a candidate with selling experience of burglar, fire and video systems.

  • General sales and management experience is required; experience in security sales will ensure quicker success.
  • The employee must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Product knowledge will be provided; however, knowledge of DMP, DSC, Napco, Ademco, GE-Security, Bosch, or Panasonic products is a definite plus.
  • The position requires professional ethics, appearance and demeanor.
  • Outstanding oral and written English communication skills and the ability to make an impressive sales presentation with good follow-up skills are a must.
  • Basic mathematical skills with the ability to calculate discounts, proportions, percentages, areas and volume are required.

Position requires the ability to perform the following functions:

  • Perform customer relationship development activities during and after the sales cycle
  • Prepare quotes
  • Give sales presentations
  • Design and estimate systems
  • Prepare and finalize agreements
  • Coordinate scheduling with installation department

Customer Service Representative

Job Purpose: Serve customers by providing product and service information; resolving product and service problems.

Job Summary: Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquires about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.

Job Duties:
